About Us

J Creek Alpacas is located 6 miles south-east of Dauphin, in west-central Manitoba, Canada. My husband, Bob is a full-time farmer, while I work part-time as a RN in our local hospital along with looking after our alpaca business. As well as our alpacas, we have a small herd of commercial Angus-cross cattle. I am actively involved with the Manitoba Alpaca Club, having previously served as Treasurer & Vice-President. We are now in our 10th year of raising Huacaya Alpacas and have one of the largest "coloured" herds in Manitoba with J Creek being home to over 55 alpacas. This year saw 10 healthy cria arrive and as each year goes by we see improvements with each generation.

We have double-registered (CLAA & ARI) and single-registered (CLAA) alpacas with quality bloodlines tracing back to Pachahuti, Peruvian Pistachio, Victors Vaccoyo, Coyo Destin, A A Almozo and Jolimont Peruvian Bwana. This spring we purchased Amber B Legend, a Peruvian Bonanza son and look forward to his offspring in 2009!

We breed for sound confirmation and quality fibre. Our Alpacas are shorn each spring and yearly inoculations are given. The maidens aren't bred until they are 2 years old to allow for optimum growth and health. We expect 17 cria in the summer of 2009. Please have a look at our selection of quality Bred females, Maidens, Stud males, Juvenile males, and companion/fibre alpacas. Each animal listed on our website is available for purchase. Please call or email for details and prices. We offer full farm guarantees and are committed to providing ongoing customer support and sharing valuable daily care and husbandry tips.

A wide variety of high-quality, hand knit alpaca items (hats, mitts, scarves), felt insoles, duvets, yarn and raw fibre are also available for purchase from our farm. Thank you for taking the time to browse our site. For more information please  contact us.
